Kat Norman is a light lyric soprano from Albuquerque, NM now based out of Washington, D.C. She joined Sarasota Opera as an Apprentice Artist in the 2025–26 winter season, performing Dodo the Grisette in Franz Lehár's The Merry Widow, and returns this fall as a Resident Artist.

She has performed with UNM Opera Theatre, UTSA Lyric Theatre, and the Maryland Opera Studio, with notable roles including Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Despina (Così fan tutte), Frau Fluth (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor), and Lucette (Cendrillon). She made her off Broadway debut when she originated the role of Maria Inez de la Paz Garcia in the world premiere of Christian De Gré Cárdenas' Orgullo, at the Public Theater.

Norman holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of New Mexico, an M.M. in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a second M.M. in Opera Performance from the University of Maryland with the Maryland Opera Studio.
